connection device
The invention relates to a connection device for connecting a main pipe with a side pipe.
From the prior art, various connection devices are known to connect a secondary pipe to a wall recess, usually a bore, an existing main pipe, this usually by direct welding of the secondary pipe to the main pipe or by inserting, in particular screwing, a cylindrical, with an externally threaded connection piece is realized in the wall recess. In special applications, however, it is necessary to install the secondary pipe without making the main pipe accessible from the outside. In these applications, the assembly of the connection device must take place inside the main pipe, which causes considerable difficulties in the assembly.
For this purpose, for example, the solution shown in Fig. 1 is known, wherein the secondary pipe is first inserted through the wall recess of the main pipe and then inserted through the interior of the side pipe a sleeve and rolled flat. As a result, however, only an insufficient sealing of the secondary pipe to the main pipe is achieved.
An object of the invention is therefore to provide a generic connection device, which allows easy installation of the main pipe, yet a sufficiently good sealing of the connection point should be made possible.
These and other objects are achieved according to the invention in that for sealing the connection piece, a preferably annular sealing element fitting against the main pipe is provided, which is connected directly or via mechanical connecting elements to an outer circumference of the connection piece. During assembly, the sealing element is pressed by the connecting piece against the main pipe and seals the wall recess relative to the medium flowing through.
The sealing element may comprise metal or plastic.
According to the invention it can be provided that the sealing element rests against the inner wall of the main pipe in the region of the wall recess. For this purpose, the sealing element may have on one side a surface contour adapted to the diameter of the main pipe, in order to allow a good contact with the inner wall. According to the invention, the sealing element can also rest on the end face of the wall recess of the main pipe, wherein the sealing element is adapted substantially annularly to the diameter of the wall recess. There are also provided combinations according to the invention, wherein the sealing element abuts both on the inner wall of the main tube, as well as on the end face of the wall recess.
According to the invention may further be provided that the sealing element is designed annular and the outer diameter of the sealing element is greater than the diameter of the wall recess of the main pipe. As a result, the sealing element surrounds the wall recess and is pressed by further structural measures as described below against the inner wall or the wall recess.
The sealing element may have a first, preferably formed on the inner surface of the main pipe sealing surface and a second, preferably annular sealing surface, wherein in the assembled state, the first sealing surface bears against the inner wall of the main pipe and the second sealing surface on an outer circumference of the connecting piece. This results in the effect according to the invention that the connecting piece presses the sealing element against the main pipe, so that the desired sealing effect is achieved when mounting the connecting piece.
The first sealing surface and the second sealing surface may preferably be arranged at an angle, for example at an angle of 60 ° to 90 ° to each other, depending on the diameter of the main pipe and the extent of the wall recess. In a groove of the first sealing surface, a first sealing ring and in a groove of the second sealing surface, a second sealing ring may be arranged, which is particularly advantageous if the sealing ring is made of a metal or the sealing surfaces comprise metal.
According to the invention, the sealing element may comprise at its inner circumference a projection which cooperates with a corresponding shoulder on an outer circumference of the connecting piece in such a form-fitting manner that the sealing element is pressed against the inner wall of the main pipe when the connecting piece is inserted or screwed into the wall recess. During assembly, the connecting piece is screwed with attached sealing element in the threaded wall recess and both the adjustment, as well as the desired sealing takes place when tightening the connection piece automatically.
According to the invention, the substantially cylindrical connecting piece according to the invention can in particular be designed such that it has a first area in the lateral direction with a radially projecting shoulder for positive connection with the sealing element, a second area with an external thread for screwing into the wall recess of the main pipe, and a third Having area for connection to a secondary pipe.
To connect the connecting piece according to the invention with a secondary pipe, a substantially cylindrical fitting housing can be provided, which is also claimed as part of the connecting device according to the invention.
According to the invention, this fitting housing can have a first opening for receiving the connecting piece with at least one plug connection means, for example a snap ring arranged in a groove of the connection piece, and at least one sealing means, for example a sealing ring. During assembly, the fitting housing can be plugged and locked in a simple manner on the connection piece.
The fitting housing may further comprise a second opening for receiving a secondary pipe, wherein in the region of the second opening, a circumferential widened sealing chamber is provided, which is a pull-out protection in the form of a laterally displaceable, cooperating with a conical inner surface of the sealing chamber clamp with conical outer surface and at least one sealing ring having. This allows a particularly simple installation of the secondary pipe, which is simply plugged into the second opening of the fitting housing and is fixed there by pulling movement.
According to the invention it can be provided that a first shoulder is provided as a stop for the insertion of the connecting piece and a second shoulder as a stop for the insertion of the secondary pipe on the inner circumference of the fitting housing. This ensures that a defined end point can be detected when inserting the connecting piece and the secondary pipe. In the area of the first shoulder and / or the second shoulder may further be provided a mounting indicator, if a visual inspection is possible during assembly.
According to various embodiments of the connecting device are provided. Thus, it can be provided that the sealing element is designed as an annular barrel bearing seal with a convex outer peripheral surface which abuts at its outer periphery on the end face of the wall recess of the main pipe and communicates at its inner periphery via a connecting ring with the outer periphery of the connecting piece. The use of a spherical bearing seal offers the curved geometry the advantage according to the invention that the connecting device is pivotable in a certain range.
It can also be provided according to the invention that the sealing element is arranged on the outer surface of the main pipe and screwed to the connecting piece and is fixed by a, inserted into the wall recess of the main pipe hooks.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing element is designed as an annular welding element, which is welded to the connecting piece from the inside. The connecting piece can be designed in this case as an annular welding fitting with a circumferential annular shoulder which presses against the likewise annular welding element and thus seals the wall recess. Welding element, welding fitting and main pipe are welded together during assembly. To increase the stability of the secondary pipe, a support sleeve may be provided inside the weld fitting.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing element can be compressed by a screw clamp from the interior of the main tube. The screw is screwed onto a stop, inserted into the wall recess and with the connecting piece via a connecting ring in connection. The sealing element is pressed by a shoulder of the screw between the inner wall of the main pipe and the stopper.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing element is designed as a, at least partially covering the inner circumference of the tube sealing jacket. The sealing jacket extends in this embodiment in a certain length over the entire inner circumference of the main pipe and is interrupted only by the inserted connection piece. The connection to the pipe transition takes place in this case via an insert, which is inserted between the sealing element and the connecting piece.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing element is arranged on the end face of the wall recess, protrudes angled into the interior of the main pipe and includes a thrust protection, preferably in the form of an inserted sheet metal part.
In this embodiment, the connecting piece carries a screwed on clamping nut and a wedge clamping disc, which is in contact with the projecting into the interior of the main tube, angled sealing element. Upon actuation of the clamping nut, the wedge clamping disc is pushed against the sealing element and presses it against the inner circumference of the main tube, so that the desired sealing effect is achieved.
According to the invention, the sealing element can also be fixed by means of sealing foam in the wall recess of the main pipe. The sealing foam is preferably introduced after assembly in the remaining space between the end face of the wall recess and the sealing element or the connecting piece.
According to the invention, at least one connecting bolt can be provided on the inner circumference of the connecting piece, which connects the connecting piece with the sealing element and the main pipe and thus fixes the sealing element in its position.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the connecting piece comprises a screwed on clamping nut and a clamping disc, which is in contact with the projecting into the interior of the main tube sealing element, so that upon actuation of the clamping nut, the clamping disc presses the sealing element against a stop of the connecting piece. The sealing element is chambered by the clamping disc on one side and the stop on the other side, and is pressed by actuation of the clamping nut against the end face of the wall recess of the main pipe.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a conical clamp is provided which is displaceable by a cone ring which can be screwed onto the connecting piece and which presses the sealing element arranged on the end face of the wall recess on its conical outer surface against a stop provided on the connecting piece and against the end face of the wall recess. In this embodiment, the secondary pipe can also be mounted entirely from the outside.
In a further embodiment of the invention, an inner sealing clamp with an inner stop and an outer seal terminal is provided with an outer stop in the wall recess, wherein the arranged at the end of the Wandausnehmung sealing element is chambered between the stops, and wherein the connecting piece via a connecting ring with the inner sealing clamp is in communication. When pushing the two sealing clamps in the wall recess or on the connecting piece, the chambered chamber between the sealing element is pressed together and against the end face of the wall recess, so that the desired sealing is achieved.
